Continue to think innovatively about public spaces, active transportation and economic development on our mainstreets to encourage livable and sustainable communities.
Ensure that everyone has a home through the effective implementation of the Housing and Homelessness Strategy.
Continue to work towards removing the interprovincial truck route from our downtown streets through the interprovincial truck tunnel feasibility study.
Continue to work with the community to best prepare the Rideau Arts Court precinct for the arrival of the Confederation Line in 2018.
Create and realize a clear vision for the ByWard Market to ensure the vitality and economic sustainability of this important place in our community.

Continue to ensure that Town and Gown remains a forum for all community stakeholders to have meaningful conversations that work to improve the quality of life of residents.
Realize, design and build the underground truck tunnel to remove the interprovincial truck route from our downtown streets
Build on our active transportation network and connect our community to the new Donald-Somerset pedestrian bridge and East-West Bikeway, along Somerset Street and Chapel Street.
Implement the Housing and Homelessness Strategy to ensure that everyone has a home and that shelters return to their emergency based purpose.
Continue to encourage responsible development in our mature neighbourhood through the renewal of the Sandy Hill Secondary Plan, Uptown Rideau Community Design Plan and park rejuvenation.
Encourage responsible and sustainable economic development and continue to work with other levels of government to reduce and limit the number of pawnshops and payday loans in our community.
Support our community mainstreets through the complete renewal of Montreal Road.
Build on our active transportation network by connecting the pedestrian missing links on Brant Street and Landry Street and connect our community to the new Donald-Somerset pedestrian bridge and East-West Bikeway.
Promote the quality of life of our residents by beautifying our neighbourhoods, active community spaces and parks, including Optimist Park.
Continue to work with OC Transpo to improve transit services in our community and ensure that Vanier residents receive efficient service and easy connections to the Confederation Line in 2018.
